Biking at Zillertal valley

Discover the Zillertal by bike

Anyone who has breathed the crystal clear mountain air of the Zillertal Valley knows that it’s hard to find a more wonderful spot for cycling. The breathtaking natural backdrop and the well developed routes and networks of paths offer something for everyone, from comfortable family rides to professional cyclists.

There are over 800 km of established cycling routes, allowing you to experience the unique mountain panorama of the Zillertals from the saddle. Freeriders can enjoy challenging single trails, while families can experience the outstanding nature of the valley floor along the 30 km long comfortable Zillertal cycling path.

Another highlight for racing cyclists who want to follow in the tracks of the Zillertaler ex pro cyclist Georg Totschnig are the high roads of the Zillertal and the Gerlos mountain pass road, whose steep ascents, winding roads and numerous between peaks provide ideal conditions for racing cyclists.

A little tip: the Zillertal Active Card gives you daily use of the Zillertal summer mountain trains to the mountains and the valley, as well as use of most public transport and a number of other benefits.
