Running & Nordic Walking
The stunnning landscape of the Zillertal with its well marked walking and Nordic-walking routes, is suitable for young and old who are newcomers to walking, as well more experienced walkers, ensuring a holiday that is a relaxing break from the stresses of daily life.
That is confirmed by the internationally highly successful Zillertaler mountain running pro Markus Kröll. For over 20 years he has been one of the most successful mountain running sportsmen in the world and he is also the representative and contact person for the holiday region on all questions regarding running.
Altogether, in the 4 holiday regions there are 64 marked running/walking and Nordic walking routes approximately 445 km long, offering active holidaymakers a sporting challenge combined with the opportunity to experience an incredible landscape. Alongside short and easy circular routes for unexperienced walkers, there are also more challenging mountain trails in the Zillertal’s impressive mountain backdrop.
